According to The Sun – via Sportsmole – Liverpool midfielder Emre Can could be signed to a new deal if we offer him £150,000 a week as wages.
The midfielder hasn’t signed a new contract with the club and his current deal is running out at the end of the season leaving many of us to worry about what’s going to happen.
Indeed, the situation has dragged out for sometime so far this year and it looks as though we’re not too close to an agreement.
The likes of Juventus and Man City are apparently lurking, too, but it would seem as though there is a figure we can reach to keep the player at the club.
Even in the modern game, though, this is a lot of money for a player who, whilst decent and improving, is not the finished article.
