As quoted by the club’s official website, Jurgen Klopp has said that the Reds will keep across Sadio Mane’s injury over the coming days.

The Reds suffered some worryingly familiar news yesterday that Mane had hurt his hamstring again, similar to the injury that he had only just come back from.

Indeed, questions were raised whether or not he should have been brought back ahead of schedule, though we’re sure the right checks would have been done ahead of the West Ham game.

Indeed, he seemed fine in that match, too, and it is again with Senegal where he has picked up the knock.

Speaking about it, then, Klopp had this to say:

“Specifically on him returning to Melwood early to be with us; obviously it is a concern that the hamstring injury is again on the agenda and it will be critical for us to monitor and manage that in the coming days.

“At this stage we haven’t seen Sadio yet to properly assess the extent, but what is clear is that we will have to stay on top of this for the rest of the week and make sure we are careful in how we look after him.”
