Speaking to Premier League Productions – via the club’s official website – Roberto Firmino has explained how much he is enjoying playing under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds striker signed from Hoffenheim under Brendan Rodgers and it initially appeared a bit awkward as the player didn’t seem to settle very quickly.
Indeed, it probably didn’t help that he was coming into a club that, at the time, was in a bit of turmoil with results not brilliant.
Of course, Klopp would come in soon after and since that moment we’ve seen a number of class displays with the Brazilian leading the charge.
He’s the archetypal Klopp striker, and it is clear that he loves playing under the German:
“His importance to me is quite huge.
“He helps me in the daily training sessions and I’ve learned a lot with him. He’s been obtaining the best of me, the maximum possible.
“He’s an exceptional manager and I’m honoured to work with him… I think since his arrival things have changed for the better.”
Some really positive words from Bobby F who clearly looks happy at the club and we’re hoping that he can help persuade the likes of Philippe Coutinho to feel similar.
