According to The Liverpool Echo, Reds midfielder Adam Lallana is set to step up his return to fitness next week by playing in a behind closed doors friendly.
The Reds midfielder has been out since the summer and has not played in a competitive game all year thanks to a problematic thigh injury.
In recent weeks we have seen him post updates on his social media about him training and making progress, though, and it would appear as though he is not far away from a full return now.
Indeed, if he can come through the friendly unscathed he’ll be looking good and we’re excited to see him back in the side.
When you add his talents to the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, you see we have a very exciting side and it’ll be fun watching them take on the rest of the league in the near future.
