As quoted by the club’s official website, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has warned our Premier League rivals that Mo Salah will not be slowing up.
The Egyptian signed for £30m-odd in the summer and that is starting to look a real steal with him becoming the Premier League’s top scorer over the weekend.
Indeed, he scored two goals in our 3-0 win over Southampton as he curled one home from outside the area as the most impressive of the two strikes.
He’s become a real household name already this year and we’ll be looking to him to keep that up, something that Hendo thinks will surely happen.
He said:
“I just want him to keep going and to be fair he hasn’t took his foot off the gas.
“He’s kept working hard in training, scoring goals, working hard in games – it’s not just his goals, it’s his workrate as well, which helps us as a team.”
Some worrying news for the rest of the league, then, so let’s see if he can keep the goals flowing.
