Speaking on ITV Sport’s Champions League highlights show last night, former Manchester United manager Roy Keane took a swipe at Liverpool once more.
The Irish midfielder has already said that he’d draw the curtains if we were playing in his back garden – though slightly in jest – and now he has offered more serious criticism of some of our stars.
Indeed, it comes in light of the Reds’ 3-3 draw with Sevilla – a game we were 3-0 up in at half-time – with Keane feeling that a couple of defenders are not good enough.
He said:
“You can overanalyse it, but when you have one or two players who aren’t good defenders, they will have trouble in the big matches.
“Liverpool will win a lot of matches.
“When it comes to the big games and tough games, they have a couple of defenders who aren’t good enough and it is as simple that.
“They keep making the same mistakes.”
Who he means exactly, we can probably have a guess at…
