We may only be in mid-November but you can start to hear the gears of the transfer rumour mill starting to click once more with the January window up next.
For Liverpool, two men are likely to be discussed at great length. Philippe Coutinho who we can’t see being allowed to leave mid-season and Virgil van Dijk, who we thought wouldn’t be let go, until now.
Indeed, though it’s easy to get carried away with such things, Mauricio Pellegrino has suggested that everyone has their price ahead of Southampton’s clash with the Reds – with many reckoning this refers to van Dijk.
Rather cryptically – as seems to be the buzzword – the Saints manager said:
“Everybody has their price.”
Very in-depth. But the Reds might just take this as a sign that we might be able to get the £27m rated defender at long last.
