Liverpool are apparently interested in Atletico Madrid full-back Sime Vrsaljko as the January window approaches.
Sime Vrsaljko is a right-back and has not played as much as he perhaps would have liked at Atletico with Juanfran still at the club and doing well.
For sure, then, he could be up for a move but we wonder whether we actually need him with some strong right backs in the squad and the left back position also looking good.
Even so, according to Corrierre dello Sport – via the Liverpool Echo – Atletico director of football Andrea Berta has revealed the Reds’ desire to sign the former Sassuolo man.
Whether or not we can actually believe Berta is up for debate but it is a strange thing to say if there wasn’t some truth in it at least.
