Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is being linked with a surprising move back to Chelsea in January by The Daily Mail.
There’s been plenty of rotation recently with the Reds’ first-team but for one reason or another, Sturridge still hasn’t managed to get many minutes.
He’s seemed fitter, but has picked up a knock of late and though it is nothing major, it’s certainly setting him back.
He could be open to a move away in the next window in order to salvage a World Cup spot, then, and the Mail is suggesting that a move back to Chelsea could be on.
Certainly, this would be a real surprise with it surely unlikely that the Reds want to sell to a top four rival.
Even loaning him may prove a shock but if he wants to go and get minutes it would surely be hard to stop him.
