According to the Belfast Telegraph, Liverpool are interested in 14-year-old goalkeeper Conner Byrne who is really starting to impress over the Irish Sea.
A goalkeeper at 14, you wouldn’t expect him to be anywhere near a senior outfit but he has made his debut for the senior Glenavon side already this campaign.
He seems to be really on a rapid path of progression, then, and the Reds are interested alongside the likes of Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham.
The potential destinations do not stop there for Byrne, either, with him spending time at Leeds United’s training ground and so it appears as though whoever signs him will have to do it quickly.
Clearly he has a bright path ahead of him at the moment and we’d be eager to see how he’d do for the Reds if he signed for us.
