According to Goal, Manchester City are ready to reignite their interest in Liverpool target Virgil van Dijk.
The Dutch defender has been linked with the Reds for some time and it looked as though a deal would be done in the summer.
We know how that went, though, and he remains at Southampton though it is not certain as to how long that will remain the case.
Certainly, the Dutch defender has got the ability to play at the highest level and it would appear the league leaders are ready to pounce.
If they do go in January, then, hopefully the Reds will join them in a bid and van Dijk will still want to sign for the Reds.
It’s certainly something we can’t afford to miss out on – especially after coming so close to getting him in the last window.
