Liverpool are set to be delivered a boost over the Christmas period with Joel Matip set to be back for some of our games in the festive fixture list.
The Reds have rotated as much as possible this last few weeks as Jurgen Klopp has tried to watch out for fatigue and tiredness.
He’s not been able to rest our centre-halves of Ragnar Klavan and Dejan Lovren, though, with Matip being injured for the last few games.
As quoted by The Liverpool Echo, though, he should be back before too long:
“It could be possible that Joel will be back for some of our Christmas games.
“I really hope so but it’s not for sure at this stage. The fact he’s running again outside is a good sign. If nothing else happens then he will be close.”
Some good news, then, so let’s see when Matip is back in the side.
