As quoted by the club’s official website, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Adam Lallana will be sitting out tonight’s game against Spartak Moscow.
The Reds go into this one knowing that a draw sees us through whilst a win sees us top our Champions League group and we’re certainly looking forward to an electric atmosphere under the Anfield lights.
Someone who will have to deal with a watching brief, though, is Lallana with him only just coming back from a length injury and clearly being rested for this one.
Klopp said when asked if the Englishman would be involved:
“No, Adam will not be in the squad for this game tomorrow, but he is on a very good way. That’s what we thought actually the whole time, and we want to build him up with his fitness and all that stuff.”
A wise move probably, and let’s hope those that do play get the job done.
