Liverpool rounded off yesterday’s action in the Premier League as we travelled down to the South Coast to take on Bournemouth.
After a couple of draws at Anfield in the last two games, we were looking for a response from the Reds, whilst we were also eager to see three points with Spurs losing but the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea winning on Saturday.
A bright start was needed and that’s what we got, as we pressed and harassed the Cherries early. Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring, then, with a fine solo effort whilst it was 2-0 soon after as Roberto Firmino hooked across for Dejan Lovren’s diving header.
Then, just before half-time, it was 3-0 as Mo Salah scored another individual effort that we’ve become accustomed to.
Things started a bit more sedately in the second half before Firmino grabbed a goal just after the hour mark. And, from there, the game largely just went through the motions as we saw out an impressive 4-0 win.
Here, then, are our player ratings from the game…
