According to Sky Sport Italia – via Sportsmole – Liverpool are to receive a bid from Napoli for goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
The men from Naples are firm title challengers this season and will certainly not want to let that slip at this stage in the campaign.
They’re apparently looking for a replacement for Pepe Reina at the moment, too, with the Spaniard getting towards the end of his career right now.
Mignolet, then, who has World Cup hopes with the Belgian squad, could be seen as Reina’s successor which is certainly something we’re familiar with seeing.
Mignolet of course replaced Reina as our number 1 back in 2013/14 but has not really ever proved himself for the club and it could be that his time at Anfield is now coming to an end.
