Liverpool’s transfer window has been busier than most so far this season and there is a real suggestion that the action is not over yet.
We’ve seen Virgil van Dijk join the club and Philippe Coutinho leave for Barcelona – both in big money deals – but the feeling is the Reds have money to dip into the market once more this month.
Names, then, are getting linked all the time with the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar being touted but it is Ivan Rakitic who Diario Gol thinks is interesting the club.
Indeed, they allege that Liverpool are going to battle Arsenal for the Champions League winner with him perhaps not as guaranteed game time as he would have been now Coutinho has arrived there.
He’s a class player, too, and so it’ll be interesting to see if we can work a deal out for him.
