Liverpool haven’t done much in this window when you think about it but it looks as though there’s going to be some late rumours for us to at least monitor.

Indeed, whilst Virgil van Dijk came in early on and Philippe Coutinho left, not much else has happened since with only players leaving the club.

In fact, you could even say we’re looking a little weaker than we were at the start of this window and that is really something that shouldn’t have happened at this point in the season.

Even so, we’ve a late report from Sport Bild today saying that the Reds are looking into signing Kerem Demirbay as a potential successor to Emre Can.

Can is yet to sign a new deal with the club, of course, and with him free to leave in the summer, a contingency plan is needed.

Demirbay could be the man, then, with the Reds apparently up at the sharp end of the race.

Thoughts, Reds? Let us know below!
