As quoted by French radio station RMC, Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev has told Liverpool and any other side who wants Thomas Lemar they’ll have to wait.

The Lemar rumours have circled since last summer and with Coutinho being sold earlier on this month they certainly came about once more.

Indeed, in many fans’ minds Lemar is the kind of person that would be the ideal replacement but he definitely won’t be coming this month now.

As quoted by the radio station, Vasilyev said:

“He will stay at Monaco until the end of the season 100 per cent.

“If Liverpool or Arsenal come with a big offer before the end of the market? This is not relevant.”

Liverpool won’t be getting him this month, then, and it remains to be seen if the Reds can strike a deal in the summer with that now the next point in time when we could go for him.
