The dust has finally settled on the Philippe Coutinho transfer saga with him now officially a Barcelona player after a hugely expensive deal.
The Reds had held on to him as long as possible over the last few months and it appeared at one point that we’d be able to keep him until the end of this season at least.
That, though, is not what happened and now it is time to move on from him and focus on what we do have as a squad which is still exciting.
In the meantime, though, Coutinho has posted this classy message on his Instagram:

It’s a nice touch from the Brazilian and though it’s a shame to see him go, we’re pleased that he’s thanked the Reds for his progress as well as the fact he always worked hard when playing this season, despite what was going on.
