According to Yahoo Sport, Liverpool have held talks with Thomas Lemar over him replacing Philippe Coutinho at the club and it is thought it could happen soon.
The Monaco man was linked with us back in the summer but nothing happened and he stayed with the French side.
With the Ligue 1 club not doing as well as last season and Coutinho seemingly closer to a Barcelona move than ever, though, it would seem that we might be able to get Lemar in.
The young attacker is certainly the sort of player capable of helping fill the gap that Coutinho leaves if he does go and we’d also be able to afford him as Barcelona are going to pay big money for any transfer.
It would add more pace to our attack, too, and that’s not a bad thing whatsoever.
