Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has said that if Liverpool don’t win a trophy this or next season Jurgen Klopp will be considered a failure.
The German midfielder has never been that positive about Klopp in all honesty and he has suggested that a trophy needs to be won this or more likely next year now.
As quoted by fourfourtwo, he said:
“He’s got to win a trophy. At the start of the season, I said that probably this year or next year, he had to do that. I think that the Champions League is hard to win this year, but next year they’ve got to win a trophy – full stop.”
To be fair, though Hamann hasn’t always been a Klopp fan he does have a point here.
The Reds have spent quite a bit and have a good side and Klopp has been here a while so we need to start seeing returns.
Let’s see, then, if it comes about in the coming year or so.
