As quoted by the club’s official site, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Roberto Firmino is almost too good to drop at the moment and give a rest.
Certainly, these are statements we’d agree with with the Brazilian forward absolutely on fire again this season and seemingly getting better every year.
It gets leveled at him that he is not an out and out striker but he is scoring for fun and his goal against Huddersfield earlier this week really had shades of Luis Suarez.
He’s getting undroppable, then, which is why Daniel Sturridge went on loan and Klopp has revealed that he just cannot drop him at the moment.
“Roberto delivers, delivers and delivers. He doesn’t score all the time, he is not always brilliant, but if he is not brilliant then he works like a horse. It’s very important that you have this kind of stability there.
“Ingsy is in a very good way, Dom is in a very good way. But it is not easy to pass Roberto.”
Firmino is looking good every game at the moment, then, and we can only hope that he is going to remain fit for the rest of the season.
