We like Emre Can, we really think he’s a good player but boy is he dragging this contract debacle out at the moment.
Of course, the club is partly to blame for letting it get to this stage but an offer is clearly on the table and it remains to be signed with months left in his current deal.
The midfielder has made all the right noises, of course, with him saying he wants to just play football and be here but until he and his agent get this thing done we’re not buying it.
Indeed, his latest comments are only certain to frustrate with him saying that he knows nothing about the deal – as quoted by Turkish news agency DHA:
“I don’t really know right now.
“For now, I am just focusing on playing for Liverpool.”
Come on Emre, you must have some idea of what’s happening.
