Liverpool return to Champions League action tomorrow night as they face FC Porto in the round of 16 in the competition.

With the first leg in Portugal, too, the Reds will be aiming to keep things tight at the back before taking the game to Anfield and so scrutiny will once again be on our defence and goalkeeper.

In the latest nod to Simon Mignolet being on the way out, though, it’s been revealed that the Belgian is unlikely to start the game despite the Reds previously rotating their goalkeepers in this competition this season.

Indeed, this comes in the Guardian and so it looks as though the international goalkeeper is going to be on his way out in the summer.

Loris Karius has usurped Mignolet in goal in the league this season, then, and he’s surely the one to be between the sticks tomorrow night.
