Liverpool are set for a bold task this summer as the likely exit of German international Emre Can is set to leave a big hole in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Reds have failed in their attempts to secure the 24-year-old World Cup hopeful to a new contract and Italian giants Juventus are said to lead the chase for Can’s services, as they seek to bolster their midfield options.
That leaves Liverpool with work to do but The Daily Star reports Klopp has already lined-up his ideal replacement, reportedly agreeing terms with Leicester City ace Wilfred Ndidi.
21-year-old Nigerian ace Ndidi has excelled for Leicester in the past few seasons, filling the void left by N’Golo Kante’s move to Chelsea 18 months ago, and could be part of an all-African midfield duo at Anfield.
Klopp’s side are already set to be bolstered by the addition of Naby Keita in midfield, with the Guinea international completing a switch last summer but remaining with RB Leipzig for the entirety of the current campaign.
