Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is eyeing plenty of business this summer to make his side into Premier League contenders, as they seek to dethrone Manchester City next term.

The Reds have proven themselves to be Pep Guardiola’s kryptonite this season, inflicting a damaging league defeat upon the Citizens earlier this year, ending their hopes of going the entire season undefeated, before emerging victorious in both legs of an all-English Champions League semi-final showdown.

However, Liverpool won’t have things their own way this summer and £50m-rated Fulham ace Ryan Sessegnon has handed the Reds a significant blow in the market- revealing he’s eyeing Premier League football but wants to secure it with the Cottagers.

Speaking after becoming the first player to be crowned Championship Player of the Year and Football League Young Player of the Year, Sessegnon told The Evening Standard:

“I just want to play in the Premier League with Fulham. I have been at the club since the age of eight. It has been a dream to play in the Premier League with Fulham. We are so very close I just want to get over the line. Hopefully we do it automatic but if not then via the play-offs.”

The 17-year-old ace has courted the attention of Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United and even Paris Saint-Germain with his performances this season, having netted 14 goals and securing six assists for the promotion chasers.
