Liverpool are lining up a €130m (£113m) deal for Napoli pair Jorginho and Lorenzo Insigne, according to Transfermarketweb reporter Claudio Colla.
The Italian based website are known for highly speculative stories so this news should be taken for what it’s worth. Both players have been linked heavily with the club in the past, but there hasn’t been any suggestion up until now that the Reds have stepped up their interest.
Out of the two, the most likely to sign would be Jorginho. The Brazilian born Italian international has been locked in contract talks with Napoli for a number of months but so far no agreement on a renewal has been agreed.
Insigne on the other hand signed a five year contract last April, and has signalled his commitment to win trophies with them. One chink of light though is that the 26 year old is now reported represented by Mino Raiola.
The super agent is known for securing moves for his clients, and he isn’t on the best of terms with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis. Whether that affects Insigne’s future in any meaningful way, it’s hard to tell.
