Liverpool are gearing up for a crucial two weeks in their season, as Jurgen Klopp’s side prepare for the Champions League semi-final double-header with Italian outfit Roma.

The two ties will give the Reds the chance to keep a close eye on goalkeeping talent Alisson, who is widely reported to be a prime target for Klopp during this summer’s transfer window- although defending European champions Real Madrid are also keen.

However, Spanish outlet Don Balon states Liverpool are looking to beat Zinedine Zidane’s side in the market for Brazil international Alisson by fast-tracking a move for the South American stopper.

The 25-year-old is one of the most coveted players within European football this season after starring performances for Roma and the interest from Real Madrid on the market has left Liverpool concerned that they could miss out.

Any fee for Alisson would have to be a hefty price, likely in excess of £50m, as Roma don’t want to sell 24-cap Brazilian.
