Liverpool are seeking midfield reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Reds poised to lose Germany international Emre Can upon the expiration of his contract.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have already been linked with a number of potential targets heading towards the close season but it seems that they’ll have to change their plans in a reported swoop for one target.
Brazil international Rafinha has revealed his desire to seal a permanent move to Inter Milan after establishing himself at the San Siro following his loan switch from La Liga leaders Barcelona in January.
The two-cap international reportedly has an option to move to Italy in a permanent deal for a fee of €35m and Rafinha told Premium Sport that he’s hoping to seal that move.
“I’m very happy to be here, everything is going well. I’m playing, and that’s important because it allows me to grow and find the right rhythm to reach top condition.”
“I’ve been confident from the first day, Inter is a great team and we have the chance to reach our objective. I’m learning Italian, I want to stay here. I wanted Inter right away, I feel at home here and I’m happy.”
Liverpool, along with Premier League rivals Arsenal, have been attributed with an interest in the 25-year-old but will now have to set their sights elsewhere.
