Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has plenty of plans ahead for the summer transfer market and a new goalkeeper is reported to be high on his wish-list.

Belgium international Simon Mignolet is poised to leave Anfield this summer, whilst Loris Karius has impressed recently but has struggled for consistency since moving to the Premier League in 2016.

A host of names have been linked with a potential move to the Champions League semi-finalists and one of them, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak, has left the door open to a mammoth switch this summer.

Speaking after this weekend’s goalless draw with Real Betis, Oblak stated there was no update in discussions over a renewed deal to extend his current terms that last until 2021.

“No news. I have the contract that I signed two years ago. What will happen, well nobody knows, not even me. I prefer to finish the season well and hopefully with a title. Then we’ll see but I have a contract. I do not think of anything other than Atletico.”

The 25-year-old Slovakia international is reported to have a mammoth release-clause of £89m in his contract in the Spanish capital.
