Liverpool are set to complete the signing of Chelsea midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies on a free transfer, according to ESPN.
The broadcaster report that the 20-year-old was not offered new terms by the Blues following the expiration of his contract, and Liverpool are ready to snap him up amid interest from several other clubs.
ESPN claim that the Reds took Christie-Davies on trial in March, with the midfielder obviously doing enough to convince the club of his talents.
Good move for Liverpool?
It is hard to say at this point.
The 20-year-old has been a big part of the all-conquering Chelsea youth sides of the past few years, winning the FA Youth Cup twice and the UEFA Youth League once with the Blues.
However, there must be reasons behind his exit from Chelsea, where he has made 19 appearances for their Under-23 side this season, scoring one goal.
It looks like the Reds are taking a punt on Christie-Davies considering his lack of impact at Stamford Bridge, but they must have seen something in him during his trial period two months ago.

Likely to happen?
If ESPN are to be believed, this one is all but done.
Christie-Davies has had several clubs monitoring him with his Chelsea exit imminent, but Liverpool look to have won the race for the 20-year-old’s signature.
