Liverpool have offered £35.1million plus an unnamed player in exchange for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to SportsMediaSet.

The news outlet claim that the Reds are unlikely to be successful with their offer for the 6ft 5in goalkeeping sensation as the Italian giants want £61.46million for his services and do not want to deal on Jurgen Klopp’s current conditions.

SportsMediaSet report that Klopp would have already had one meeting with Donnarumma’s agent, Mino Raiola, before having a second meeting about the goalkeeper’s future, where the offer would have been presented to Raiola.

Good Move for Liverpool?

Yes. Although AC Milan’s crazy £61.46million demand for the goalkeeper is cause for concern.

However if there is a keeper worth that much in today’s market than it’s Donnarumma.

The 19-year-old has always showcased his vast potential in the 125 appearances he has made for AC Milan in his career and given his young age, he’s destined to be the one of the world’s best keepers if he continues progressing at the rapid rate he is.

If Klopp could ensure that the young goalkeeper fulfilled his potential at Anfield, then it would be the signing of the summer and look like a genius move for years to come.

Likely to happen?

Well Donnarumma could certainly be on the move this summer, as according to this report his agent is working hard to manufacture one, but it’s going to take a world-record bid, at least for a goalkeeper, for him to arrive at Anfield.

SportsMediaSet suggests that his future moves further away from AC Milan, but does state that the club haven’t given up the hope of him staying.

While it’s certainly promising that Klopp has had meetings with the goalkeeper’s agent, it sounds like the two clubs are a way off successfully negotiating a price, given how far under Milan’s demand the Reds are.
