Liverpool are among several clubs interested in a summer swoop for Inter Milan sensation Andrea Pinamonti, and the Reds will have a gem on their hands should they manage to beat out the competition.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 18-year-old striker is attracting attention from some of the continent’s biggest clubs despite making just five appearances for the Inter first-team so far.
La Gazzetta claim that Inter are expecting bids to come in for Pinamonti this summer, with PSG, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Valencia all in the hunt along with the Reds.
It is said that a meeting between Inter and Pinamonti’s representatives is planned for the next few weeks, with his future to be decided then.
And while this would obviously be one for the future, a swoop for Pinamonti would be a brilliant move for the Reds.
Pinamonti has an impressive scoring record for the Inter youth set-up this season, bagging seven in nine games in all competitions, including six in six UEFA Youth League matches.
He is obviously highly-rated at the San Siro having been handed five appearances for the first-team, and looks a real star in the making.
His young age should mean that his price tag is reasonable this summer, and Liverpool must move fast to beat out the heavy-hitting competition for his signature.
A lot will hinge on this meeting that is planned between Inter and Pinamonti’s representatives, and we should know more about his future then.
The fact that so many of Europe’s top sides are chasing him show just how highly-rated Pinamonti is, and Liverpool would have an absolute gem on their hands should they win this race.
