Rangers are close to signing Liverpool forward Harry Wilson, according to a club insider.
Gers blog Four Lads Had a Dream, which has established a reputation for breaking news about the Glasgow giants before the mainstream media, reported on Sunday night that they have learned Rangers are on the verge of landing Wilson on a loan deal.
Four Lads report that the temporary signing of the 21-year-old is “extremely close” as manager Steven Gerrard attempts to use his Anfield contacts to broker a deal.

OPINION
Rangers fans will be dancing in the streets if Gerrard beats rival clubs to the loan signing of Wilson, a forward who has the potential to run amok in the Scottish Premiership next season. The 21-year-old, who operates predominantly on the right flank, is more than just a player of promise. He is already a full-fledged international and proven in the highly demanding English Championship. Wilson scored seven times in 13 matches while on loan for Hull in the second half of the recently-completed domestic season, as well as laying on four assists. Direct, mobile and with a genuine eye for goal, the Anfield academy product has the potential to score 20 goals a season in the SPL were he to remain for the entire campaign. He is already way too good for the Liverpool Under-23s, but a place in the first-team squad is probably a year or two away for him. There are already some pretty decent attackers in that side. A bloke called Mohamed Salah plays in the right-sided role that is Wilson’s forte. A season in Govan would suit all parties.
