Liverpool have seen the transfer of Fabinho and Naby Keita really strengthen the centre of the park ahead of next season, which means the first-team path has definitely been blocked for midfielder Pedro Chirivella.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two consecutive seasons out on loan in Holland and it seems he won’t have done enough to break into Jurgen Klopp’s side.

He is a defensive midfielder that was extremely highly-rated when he first arrived at Anfield, but it hasn’t quite worked out for him.

The Spanish enforcer was a regular starter for Eredivise side Willem II in the most recent season by making 35 appearances across all competitions, but was hardly pulling up trees for them.

Klopp should allow Chirivella to depart this summer and allowing him to move on permanently may not be the worst idea.

News outlet Goal reports that he has been attracting interest from Championship clubs recently and names Leeds as potential suitor.

Liverpool should try open up talks to help him obtain a move to an English rival in the second division and that could be a great stepping stone in his own individual career.

A fresh move in his career is certainly needed at this stage and it seems like even another loan won’t be enough to proper him into the thinking of Klopp, who is now tasked with turning Liverpool into serial winners once again.

They have shown their intent already this summer with some big signings and could be just a couple of players short from really challenging for the Premier League title.
