Four Liverpool players are facing an exit from the club this summer with Daniel Sturridge, Simon Mignolet, Danny Ings and Ryan Kent all likely to depart, according to the Times.

The trusted newspaper state that Sturridge is likely to move on in order to revive his career with the Reds wanting £15 million for his services.

The Times report that one of the other Reds players facing an exit, Ings, has the Premier League’s Crystal Palace in pursuit of his signature as they have been tracking his progress.

OPINION

None of the names of this list should come as a surprise to anyone. These four Reds player are on the chopping block for a variety of reasons and none of them are considered first-team regulars at this point. However it’s worth noting that the Reds will probably opt to loan 21-year-old Kent out rather than permanently ditch him. Ings, who rakes in £60,000-a-week at Anfield (Source: Total Sportek), should jump at the chance to join Palace as his career needs a kick-start. The 25-year-old forward has battled back from serious knee injuries to be fit once again but unfortunately while he was away, the Reds’ attack became lethal without him. It’s a sad fact as Ings hasn’t really been able to make much of an impression at Anfield due to his unavoidable problems and people will forever wonder how well he could have done if his injuries hadn’t kept on the sidelines for so long. On a more positive note the Times claim that Mignolet’s exit will bring further focus on the position of goalkeeper which means Jurgen Klopp could step up his hunt to recruit a new shot-stopper shortly.
