Liverpool supporters on social media were thrilled to read a report that stated Rhian Brewster had committed his future to the club.

The Times stated on Sunday that the 18-year-old attacker had pledged his future to the Reds as he is set to sign a new five-year contract to keep him at Anfield.

The prestigious newspaper stated that Jurgen Klopp played a major role in getting Brewster to put pen to paper on his first professional contract.

It is believed that the German manager has plans to include him in his senior squad next season after having him spend time around the first-team while recovering from an ankle injury that ended his 2017/18 campaign.

Ahead of getting injured in his latest campaign the promising teenage forward scored six goals in 15 appearances with five of them coming in his 11 outings in the Premier League 2.

While Brewster is yet to make his first appearance for the Reds’ senior side, supporters were thrilled that his future was set to be at the club despite interest from other teams.

One fan tweeted that it was like having a new recruit on Twitter with another supporter stating that they were buzzing to hear he had signed a new deal.
