The 23-year-old wide man got a run out in the second period of the World Cup group stage match, which was decided by a Cristiano Ronaldo header.
The Telegraph reports that Martins is one of several players to have cancelled their contracts at Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon after an incident involving attacks from fans, which has seen Premier League clubs circle for him.
It is understood that English teams Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham are all keen on snapping up the pacy right-winger this summer.
Liverpool fans insist that Martins should be snapped up by Jurgen Klopp this summer and feel he could be a real hit in the Premier League.
The speed machine was unable to make much of an impact in truth off the bench for Portugal as they were holding out for a narrow win over Morocco, but showed the defensive side of his game by tracking back.
He made 52 appearances across all competitions in the recent season for Sporting, scoring 13 goals and supplying 13 assists in return to highlight his quality in front of goal.
