Liverpool will find themselves drowning in trophies by the end of the 2018/19 season if they successfully sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.

The Reds are thought to be in the race to sign the superb 25-year-old attacking midfielder, as reported by Calciomercato, and must successfully win his signature in order for silverware to arrive at Anfield.

Ziyech is an uncrowned assist king due to his excellent vision, sublime passes and ability to slip into the pockets of space left by his opposition in order to carve his opponents open.

The attacking midfielder’s ability was more than proven in his 2017/18 campaign as he ended up registering 18 assists in 39 outings for Ajax.

Jurgen Klopp’s side would be unstoppable with him in their team and they could find themselves lifting the Premier League title, succeeding in Europe and even clinching the FA Cup with him in their squad.

Especially as the Reds have already conducted smart business in this transfer window and are just looking for the final couple of puzzle pieces to complete a well balanced squad.

Klopp tried to add an attacking midfielder in the form of Lyon’s Nabil Fekir earlier in this window but a deal fell through, according to The Sun, due to his previous injury problems.

However while a swoop for Fekir being reignite can’t be ruled out, the Reds should forget about him and just sign Ziyech instead.

The Ajax playmaker does not have a worrying injury record if anything he has been blessed in that regards as Transfermarkt’s records show that injuries have hardly been an issue for him.

Therefore the Reds should get over not signing Fekir and win the reported race for Ziyech instead as they will soon find themselves with a packed trophy cabinet after he arrives.
