Liverpool supporters on social media were blown away by the performance of midfielder Hakim Ziyech after he featured for Morocco against Portugal in the World Cup.
The 25-year-old may have been on the losing side as his nation lost 1-0 to Portugal on Wednesday but Reds supporters were convinced he was a player their club should sign.
One Reds fan heaped praise on Ziyech for his performance as he claimed that the midfielder had the physique and swagger of Angel Di Maria, a little bit of Juan Mata in him as well as having the touch of David Silva.
While that praise was high he wasn’t the only Reds supporter pratically drooling over Ziyech’s World Cup display as another fan stated on Twitter that they had seen the light and that they would love to see him at Anfield.
Calciomercato previously reported that Jurgen Klopp’s side were in the race to sign the playmaker and faced competition from Tottenham as well as West Ham in getting his signature.
It was believed that Ziyech had caught the eye of the English trio after wowing in his 39 appearances for Ajax in the 2017/18 campaign.
