Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri has magic feet when it comes to him breaking out the skill moves and leaving opponents baffled but he simply shouldn’t be signed by Liverpool.

It was previously stated by the Mirror that the Reds were working on a deal to sign the tricky winger but if they witnessed him play for Switzerland against Brazil on Sunday then clearly they know he is not right for them.

The 26-year-old, who is currently on £65,000-a-week at Stoke (Source: Spotrac), got an assist during his nation’s 1-1 draw with Brazil and showcased his magic feet at times during that game but then he also showed his laziness.

Shaqiri’s failure to track back and help his teammates constantly saw Brazil attack down the left-hand flank, the Stoke winger was playing on the left wing, as they could outnumber their opposition.

While Brazil may not have made the most of Shaqiri’s noticeable major flaw, his laziness, every team that the Reds would face in the Premier League next season would.

Especially as he would be the only one not pulling his weight if picked to play as Jurgen Klopp has built a well oiled machine in regards to his current team.

The German boss likes his team to attack and defend together and is known to like his players to be able to consistently run throughout the 90 minutes in order to keep the pressure on whichever team they are playing.

Shaqiri would simply fail to do this and no matter how many skill moves he pulls out the bag, it would just be a smokescreen for his lack of desire to work hard for the team.

Therefore the Reds must halt their pursuit of Shaqiri immediately as he just wouldn’t fit into to life under Klopp without undergoing a personality transplant.
