Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic will decide his future within the next few days as Cardiff City and Galatasaray battle for his signature, according to Aksam

The Turkish newspaper report that Grujic is set to leave the Reds this summer after failing to break into the first-team, and will now pick between his two main suitors next week.

Aksam claim that Grujic has told Galatasaray bosses to wait for his decision after they expressed interest in signing him.

The 22-year-old Serbia international spent six months on loan with Cardiff last season as he helped the Bluebirds secure a return to the Premier League under Neil Warnock.

OPINION

It will not be a surprise if Grujic does decide to leave Anfield, which is the decision he is widely expected to take this summer. The young Serb has failed to make enough of an impact under Jurgen Klopp, and the additions of Fabinho and Naby Keita this summer mean the route to the first-team is looking increasingly tough. It is not stated here whether Grujic would be exiting the club on loan or permanently, and the club would do well to keep hold of the 6ft 3in star for now. Grujic still has great potential, and a spell on loan at either Cardiff or Galatasaray would do him the world of good, and allow the Reds to make a final decision on his long-term future at the club. A good season could see him return next summer to genuinely compete in the first-team squad, and they do not want to pass up the chance of that happening. That being said, if either club submit a decent cash offer, it is likely the Reds will accept it and move on.
