Liverpool attacker Ben Woodburn shared that Jurgen Klopp was still currently deciding on what to do with the 18-year-old ahead of next season with him attracting interest from the likes of Sheffield United.

GOAL stated that a host of Championship sides led by Sheffield United had already enquired about taking the pacey winger on loan but that a decision about his future wasn’t set to be made until later in the summer.

Woodburn commented on his immediate Anfield future by sharing that he was willing to accept whatever Klopp decided as he trusted his manager.

“The manager is still thinking about what’s best for me,” said the Reds flyer, as quoted by Goal.

“I’ll agree with whatever he thinks, I’ll trust his decision and do what he wants me to do.”

OPINION

While Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent have sealed temporary exits from the club, it seems Klopp isn’t sure whether a loan move is needed for Woodburn at this time. The left-sided flyer would benefit from regularly playing senior football and featuring for a team such as Sheffield United on a regular basis may significantly aid his development. However with Woodburn being only 18-years-old, there shouldn’t be a panic about him potentially staying at Anfield and playing his football with the U-23s side for a bit longer. After all the teenager could always secure a move in January if he ends up not progressing in the Reds academy if Klopp opts to keep him around the club. Wilson, whose reputation proceeds him now, only spent the second half of his latest campaign on loan and that worked wonders for him. Therefore it’s understandable that Woodburn is totally fine at the idea of staying just as he is fine over the idea of him getting a temporary exit from Anfield.
