Any team’s priority is to bring the best out of their attacking players – and this can even apply to Liverpool, who have a lethal front line.

Club flyer Sadio Mane is part of the infamous front three that includes Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, but however prolific that combination may be, there needs to be a player who can bring the best out of him even further – and they can have just that in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport have reported that the 6’3″ (source: Transfermarkt) midfielder did not show up at Lazio after the summer break, adding fuel to the fire that he may want a move out of Italy.

Liverpool should pounce on this new development and plot a swoop for the Serbian, whose ability will bring the best out of Mane.

The 23-year-old is not shy of scoring goals himself, netting 14 last season – indicating his creative ability in the final third.

Milinkovic-Savic can enhance Mane’s attacking threat even further, providing the passes that sets him into space, giving him the opportunity to produce a chance at goal.

It is like a domino effect; Without the central midfielders, the creative ones cannot flourish – and without them, there is no support to the strike force.

He is the link between the central midfield and the attack, and Mane will find himself with more chances if the Lazio playmaker joined forces with Liverpool.

They already have Jordan Henderson in the centre of their midfield, but Milinkovic-Savic offers something different to play that could seriously benefit the Reds’ attack – a more creative style of play that can ensure the forwards are provided with enough support to flourish.

A trio of European clubs – including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Juventus – are said to be on his trail, but Liverpool must trump all of them to land the signature of a player that can bring the best out of one of their star players.
