Leicester have agreed a £10million fee for Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward, according to Sky Sports (live transfer blog, 12.18), and fans are gutted and would rather see him stay and Loris Karius leave.
Following the report Neil Jones from Goal claimed that Ward would be pulled from the pre-season friendly tonight against Blackburn – he had been due to start until the offer seemingly came out of the blue.
Danny Ward set to miss #LFC game with Blackburn tonight – he had been down to start it.

He claimed that Roma were looking at Kasper Schmeichel as an Alisson replacement, with the deal for the Brazil goalkeeper due to go through imminently.
However, a lot of Liverpool fans will be gutted to see Ward go – here are the best reactions on Twitter:

Definitely prefer Ward as No.2 but obviously he's fed up as he's at the age he needs to be playing every week

Can we not dress Karius up as Ward? They’ll never notice. ?

Should keep Danny and get rid of Mignolet and Karius.

I hope #LFC 's no.2 GK is not either Karius or Mignolet

Gutted Danny Ward never got a crack in the Liverpool goal but this can only be good news for Wrexham no?

One Liverpool fan also saw another possibility – to use Ward as a bargaining chip in order to land centre-back Harry Maguire from Leicester.

OPINION
Liverpool fans have obviously got a lot of time for Danny Ward but the goalie has never had a break at Liverpool and with Alisson arriving his time at the club has come to an end. Poor Loris Karius. He made a couple of huge blunders in the Champions League final and it looks like a big section of Liverpool fans are never going to forgive him for it. That’s the life of a goalkeeper though and Karius will know it too well. It will be huge testament to his character if he can bed in and play understudy and eventually fight for his right to take the gloves at Liverpool again.
