Everton are reportedly closing in on a deal worth £50million for Watford attacker Richarlison, and many Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to mock their rivals.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Everton boss Marco Silva has returned to his former club for the 21-year-old Brazilian, who was bought from Fluminese for £11.5million last summer.
The newspaper claim that the deal could rise to £50million, despite the young attacker failing to score after November in the 2017/18 Premier League season.
A section of Liverpool fans have now taken to Twitter to react hilariously to the news, with many mocking Everton for spending so much on an unproven player.

OPINION
These Liverpool fans are absolutely loving this development, and it is easy to see why. There are only a select group of players who have gone for a fee of £50million in the history of football, and to see Richarlison join that number after last season is a massive shock. The Brazilian winger started brightly, but no goals since November suggest there is a huge lack of consistency there, and this is a massive risk for Everton. That is a fact which Liverpool fans are all too aware of, and they will inevitably be hoping that Richarlison’s lack of goals continues next season at Goodison Park, should the move materialise.
