Some Liverpool fans on social media opted to slam Divock Origi for his performance against Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Reds attacker featured in the pre-season friendly against the National League side on Tuesday but supporters were left unimpressed by his display despite their side winning the game 3-2.
One Reds fans stated on Twitter following the game that Origi’s loan spell at Wolfsburg last season had not been good for him as he was awful in the last third, while another stated that the forward was not good enough for the club.
The forward, who can also play as a winger on either flank, has featured 77 times for the Reds in his career so far, scoring 21 goals and registering seven assists.
Live 4 Liverpool have rounded up some tweets courtesy of Reds supporters about Origi’s latest display:
Origi – His loanspell in Wolfsburg havent been good for him. He was actually awful in the last third. Have to get rid of him, Im sorry to say. Solanke looking a much better fit in the gameplan, just need to get his goals and it will hopefully get him on the track. #LFC

Solanke, Karius, Mignolet, Origi, Moreno all need moving on from Liverpool in some capacity (loan or sell).
All WELL short of the standard #LFC

I accepted it since and prayed he stayed back in Germany. There are some players who will remain just decent, Origi is not a player for our ambitions.

OPINION
Origi was handed a golden chance to stake a claim for a place in Klopp’s squad next season and he squandered it. However he’s likely to get another opportunity to impress during pre-season but he has to significantly up his game. It’s not a surprise that Reds fans were left unimpressed by Origi’s recent display as it’s hard to pick out a positive moment from his performance. The 23-year-old consistently made the wrong decision when it came to deciding what to do with the ball and this included him shooting from a ridiculously tight angle when he had no chance of scoring. For his sake hopefully he has got all his bad decisions out of his system because if he continues to perform to that level, he’ll be exiting Anfield sooner rather than later.
