Some Liverpool fans on social media reacted to Barcelona defender Yerry Mina’s display for Colombia on Tuesday night in order to share that they would like him to be signed by their club.
The centre-back who stands at 6ft 5in tall (Transfermarkt) scored during his side’s 1-1 draw with England in the first knockout stage of the World Cup and had Reds supporters impressed by his performance.
Mina is now out of the international tournament as Colombia went on to lose to England on penalties in their fixture and he is set to return to Barcelona ahead of the new season.
Fotomac,as translated by Sport Witness, reported on Tuesday that Jurgen Klopp’s side had shown a late interest in Mina with the German boss keen to explore his options when it came to signing the colossus enforcer.
Live 4 Liverpool have picked a selection of tweets from Reds supporters about Mina after he featured for Colombia:

OPINION
It seems several Reds fans were convinced that Mina was the perfect defender for them to sign after watching his display against England in the World Cup. The powerful defender may have ended up on the losing side but he certainly made his mark on the game as his goal was what saw the match go past the 90minute mark. Given that Fotomac’s report claims that Fenerbahce are attempting to negotiate a loan deal for Mina, Reds supporters better hope that their club move fast the 23-year-old as the Turkish giants will no doubt be eager to get his services. If Klopp was able to get Mina on loan or on a permanent basis it would be a smart move this summer.
