Steven Gerrard wished Liverpool all the best ahead of them kicking off their new Premier League season during his latest press conference as Rangers manager.

The Reds iconic shared that everyone knows he is a huge supporter of the Merseyside giants and that he wanted to take a moment to wish them all the best in their upcoming campaign.

Gerrard issued the message during his latest Gers press conference, as quoted by their official Twitter, ahead of his side’s game against St Mirren on Sunday.

OPINION

It’s always nice to hear from Gerrard as it’s good to see that he is keeping one eye on his beloved club ahead of them taking on West Ham in their first match of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign. Reds supporters are no doubt also keeping an eye out for Rangers’ results due to Gerrard as it’s safe to say that there are a lot of fans who want to see him achieve every success possible in the game. This is especially the case as one day a lot of Reds supporters would eventually like to see Gerrard in the dugout at Anfield as their club’s manager. Hopefully Gerrard’s message is the little bit of luck Klopp’s side need to get a win on Sunday against the Hammers as it will be a tough game. While the Reds have dramatically improved their squad in the summer so has Manuel Pellegrini’s side. It may all come down to whose new recruits have settled in the quickest at their respective new clubs as that could give either side the edge.
