Liverpool centre back Ragnar Klavan’s days at Anfield appear to be numbered, with the Estonia international heading for Cagliari, according to BBC Sport.
The 32-year-old has been in and out of the Reds starting eleven since he joined from Augsburg in 2016, but he’s built up something of a cult following amongst the club’s supporters.
Those fans appear to be sad about the defender’s Anfield exit, although some of their responses seem to have been delivered with tongues very firmly in cheeks.

Can’t see us selling #Klavan makes the most sense but maybe the lad wanted to play more and good luck to him. Always tried his best. Mostly was solid and never let anyone down for effort. #LFC

All jokes aside, I am proper sad to see Klavan go. He was brought in to temporary plug gaps in our defence which isn't a glamorous or easy role to accept, but he did it and got us through on numerous occasions. And then there was Burnley away ?. All the time for Raggie, mates.

OPINION
The overwhelming feeling from looking at Liverpool supporters’ reaction to Klavan’s potential exit is that the fans have a real connection to the player. They realise that he had limitations, that he was only a squad player, but they recognise that he gave 100% to the Liverpool cause every time he pulled on the shirt. However they also accept that the Estonia international wants more game time, something that Jurgen Klopp has clearly made peace with as well. He’s been a solid servant to the Reds’ cause, and it’s fair that he move on in search of more regular football. There is some concern amongst Liverpool fans that his departure will leave the club short staffed at the back, particularly with Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren currently injured. That leaves just Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez available at the heart of the defence, a precarious situation for sure. However, Klopp knows what he’s doing and he treats his players like human beings, that’s why he’s sanctioned Klavan’s departure.
